Access for Hachijo
Accommodation is plentiful with three large hotels and many smaller minshikus (Japanese style B&B's and condominums). Prices vary from the simple and somewhat Spartan ¥3,000 yen to more than ¥20,000 yen a night for the larger hotels. Much of the accommodation is in remote areas on the island. Be sure to book something central to town unless you have transportation! There is a campsite which is open all year round and free of charge with full facilities. No reservation required. Conveniently located a mere 2 minutes stroll to the main beach and port of Sokodo and 5 minutes to The Anchor Pub. |
